Municipalities hardly receive any tourist and parking taxes, because the corona measures in the period up to 1 June did not attract or even attract visitors and tourists. Municipalities are compensated for this with an amount of 225 million euros.
It is extra important that the services provided by fellow governments remain up to date. Municipalities have already been compensated for certain expenses. Compensation of 23 million euros will be made for the extra costs incurred by municipalities to organize emergency care for children of parents with a crucial profession. In addition, the National Contribution to the Social Work Provision for Social Work Companies Act will be increased by 90 million euros for the period from 1 March 2020 to 1 June 2020.
Municipalities are responsible for maintaining public libraries, music schools, museums, cinemas and local information provision. It is important that residents can continue to use this. Therefore there will be compensation of 84 million euros.
