UK Competition Authority (“CMA”) has fined 3 suppliers of concrete drainage products (Stantan Bonna Concrete Limited, CPM Group Limited, FP McCann Limited) totally more than £36 million for violation of competition rules.
CMA found out that the companies broke competition law by taking part in an illegal cartel covering Great Britain, 7 years during 2006-2013 period, exchanging regularly competitively sensitive information, sharing the market and coordinating prices. Two of the firms, CPM and FP collaborated with CMA by confessing the violation and received fine reduction according to CMA’s provisions for leniency and settlement processes.
