Russian Competition Authority FAS issued a warning to Yandex LLC after the applications made due to the violation of the antimonopoly law in order to eliminate the violations.
Yandex LLC provides the services of the Yandex Group with preferential opportunities to promote (attract the attention of users) services in the Yandex search system, which leads to the creation of discriminatory conditions for activities in related markets causing Yandex’s actions to become a sign of abuse of dominant position in the Internet search market
In conclusion, the Authority mentioned that the organization must ensure equal conditions for the demonstration of services on the pages of the search system, including for market participants - competitors of the Yandex group.
