The Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security has ordered TNO to start a pilot with screens in restaurants, cafes and terraces. For a number of situations, TNO will investigate whether it is possible to use (cough) screens so that the distance requirement can be released if people are on both sides of the screens. They will also discuss the effects of the use of screens on the dispersion of so-called aerosols and whether it is practicable. The pilots will take place in the municipalities of Rotterdam and Tilburg, in consultation with MKB Nederland and Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN).
