A joint order of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade extended the deadline for the final preferential safeguard measure on imports of clothing and textile products from Turkey.
Customs and indirect taxes administration of the Moroccan kingdom announced to its services, the extension until December 31st, 2022, of the definitive preferential safeguard measure applicable on certain clothing and textile products imported from Turkey.
This measure is applicable since January the first 2020, following the adoption of the finance law of the said year 2020, and consists in applying to imports of certain textile products from Turkey an additional ad-valorem duty equivalent to 90% of the import duty applicable under ordinary law.
This measure is in line with the orientation of the Moroccan government to promote the "made in Morocco.
