Due to the corona crisis the work and income of many Dutch people are affected. To support people and help them to adapt to the changing labor market, the cabinet is allocating € 1.4 billion for an additional social package.
To provide good guidance to people who have lost or are in danger of losing their job, the government is allocating money to provide more services and to set up regional mobility teams. UWV, municipalities, employers, social partners and vocational education are involved in this. There will also be extra financial support to ensure that people who have a job through the job agreement and people who work in SW companies can keep their job. A total of € 650 million is available for this.
In addition, the cabinet is allocating € 230 million to help people update their knowledge and skills or to retrain for other work.
The cabinet is also paying attention to youth unemployment. The cabinet wants to guide vulnerable school-leavers to further education or work. € 350 million will be released for this.
Finally, the cabinet is allocating € 150 million in order to provide extra support for people with problematic debts.
