The Temporary Bridging Scheme for Flexible Workers (TOFA) will be extended until Sunday July 26. Flex workers, on-call and temporary workers with loss of income due to corona are given two weeks longer to apply for financial compensation from UWV. The number of applications now stands at almost 19,000.
The TOFA is intended for flex workers who had more than 400 euros gross (threshold amount) in February and who lost at least half of this in April. In addition, the gross wages in April were no more than 550 euros. They are eligible for a fixed one-off gross contribution of 550 euros per month for the months of March, April and May. The applicant may not have received unemployment, social assistance or other social security schemes during this period.
