Our announcement regards the Decision Regarding the Amendment of the Decree No. 32 on Protection of the Value of Turkish Currency (Amendment: 85) ("Decision") published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2018 and numbered 30534.
In accordance with the related Decision, -except situations which shall be determined by Ministry-, persons who are resident in Turkey shall not agree on to perform their contractual obligations with foreign currency deriving from purchase and sale contracts of movables and real estates, all kinds of lease contracts including vehicle and financial leasing, leasing and employment, service and construction contracts that are signed among each other’s.
Later on aforementioned Decision; it is declared that, specified contracts’ contract prices that are determined as foreign currency before this Decision shall be redetermined by parties as Turkish Lira, within 30 days of the Decision becoming effective. The Decision has entered into force on 13.09.2018, in the date of its publication.
