CONFİDENCE STAMP İN ELECTRONİC COMMERCE

The Communiqué on Confidence Stamp in Electronic Commerce ("Communiqué") was published in the Official Gazette on June 6, 2017 and entered into force. It is aimed to set certain standards in order to create trust in the public concerning the electronic commercial and to give the service providers who have these standards an electronic sign "Trust Stamp".

Specified Standards for Service Providers

5 of the Communiqué entitled "Conditions for Receiving Confidentiality Stamps" states which standards a service provider that wishes to have an authorized electronic business must comply with. In this context, the service providers in short; To take necessary precautions to ensure the security of user information and to ensure that the contents of such information conform to the Communiqué and to the standards stipulated by various laws, and to respond to the basic and legitimate needs of buyers.

Application and Other Applications

In the Communiqué, "trust stamp" is given as separate information on how the application and allocation will be provided, in which cases the suspension will be taken and when the trust stamp will be canceled under what circumstances.

Trust Stamp Provider (GDS)

It is envisaged that there will be establishments that give "confidence stamp" in the arrangement brought up and carry out other activities related to this subject and authorized by Ministry protocols and the authority and obligations of these organizations are arranged in a separate section.
