Russian Customs Authorities, responsible for currency control along with the tax bodies, will not conduct and initiate new compliance checks until May 31st, inclusively. Exceptions apply to violations, which period of limitation for the institution of administrative proceedings expires before June 1st.
The relevant amendments to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation N 409 "On measures to ensure sustainable economic development" dated 02.04.2020 will enter into force on May 23rd. Same restrictions on currency control checks from tax authorities are still in force.
