Livestock farmers who want to invest in new techniques that help to reduce the emission of pollutants can use the Subsidy modules for source-oriented sustainable housing and management measures (Sbv). The Sbv consists of two modules that livestock farmers can use per sector: an innovation module and an investment module. The innovation module can be used when a farmer has a new idea for a technique or management measure in the barn. With this module, the farmer can develop and test his / her idea and then start using it. The investment module focuses on the further rollout and the use of proven innovations. These are then measured and are on a list of proven techniques. The new techniques can then be brought onto the market.
The Sbv's innovation module will be available first and will gradually open up per (animal) sector. The pigs, dairy goats, dairy cattle and veal calf farming can be the first to use the subsidies for innovation. The innovation module will open for registration for the first time on May 25, 2020 and will close on July 15, 2020. Poultry farming is first eligible for the second module, the investment module. It is expected to open in early July. The modules will be open twice a year until 2024.
