The US antitrust authority Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) conditionally approved merger between Veterinary Service Providers Compassion First and National Veterinary Associates
FTC determine that the acquisition would harm competition in several expertise areas and emergency veterinary services and led to increase in prices, decrease in quality of services. Accordingly, FTC offered several remedies; divestiture of assets in Asheville, Norwalk, Fairfax to MedVet Associates, an undertaking that has a good market position in this area. The approval is announced to on this condition.
