According to the amendments to the Consumer Rights’ Protection Law, adopted by the State Duma in final reading, consumers should be able to pay with a “Mir” card, if the seller’s revenues exceed 20 million rubles for the previous calendar year. Now the threshold amount is 40 million rubles.
Starting from November 1, the obligation to accept the "Mir" card is also going to be extended to the owners of commodity Internet aggregators.
The named threshold will be decreased gradually: it will amount to 30 million rubles - from March 1, 2021; and to 20 million rubles - from July 1, 2021.
