Dnipro city plans to start construction work on the modernization of the international airport in Dnipro this year. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

“Modernization of the airport in Dnipro is one of our priority infrastructure projects. Therefore, it is necessary to speed up the preparation of the project with quality assurance and all technological requirements to start construction work this year, "said Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krykliy.

As of today, engineering-geodetic and engineering-geological surveys have been performed, several options for the location of the artificial runway and the main objects of the aerodrome infrastructure have been developed and analyzed, the draft general plan of the airport has been developed and the vertical planning of the territory has been completed. In addition, tasks for the implementation of design and estimate documentation were developed and approved and 17 land plots were allocated for permanent use.

The modernization is planned to bring the parameters to ensure the operation of aircraft of code letter "C" without restrictions and with the possibility of extension of the runway to ensure the operation of aircraft of code letters "D" ("E").
