As from February 1st 2020, companies importing industrial products controlled at the origin must provide conformity certificates issued by one of the inspection agencies with whom the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Green and Digital Economy signed conventions for the delegation of compliance checks.
The agencies selected, Ap-plus Fomento (Spanish) , Bureau Veritas (French) and TUV Rheiland (German), will perform their controls under the responsibility and close supervision of the relevant ministry.
It has to be noted that all import procedures will continue to be carried out from the PORTNET platform. However, importers of products controlled at the origin must specify, when submitting their import file at the Portnet platform, which organization had issued them the conformity certificate.
A transitional period that runs until April 20th 2020 is granted to importers during which they may continue to subject their imports to control in Morocco for the products of their choice.
