In a press released published on March 23rd 2020, AMMC reminded to publicly traded companies their information obligations and recommends such duties should fulfilled electronically in the current health emergency context through the electronic distribution platforms of legal notices newspapers; the published information should then be submitted to the Authority’s website.
Indeed, publicly traded companies should, according to the requirements of AMMC’s circular n°03/19, make available to the public their annual accounts, annual financial report and any other significant information.
AMMC underlines the crucial importance of the issuers’ compliance with transparency obligations in the current context as it ensures an orderly, fair and efficient functioning of the financial market.
