On March 17th 2020, His Majesty King Mohammed VI gave instructions to create fund dedicated to face health, social and economic repercussions of coronavirus pandemic.
Less than 48 hours after this announcement, the fund against COVID 19 exceeded its target amount, which was $1 Billion, and until today significant donations continue to come in to it.
It is in this context that the Moroccan Tax Administration released a statement in which it allows the deductibility of the donations made by natural or legal persons to the “Special Fund for the management of the coronavirus pandemic” from their tax result.
