NAIL OLPAK: "IN 2021, TURKISH COMPANIES WILL TARGET MOROCCO, KENYA AND ETHIOPIA"

13/11/2020

For the president of DEIK, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Republic of Turkey, the African continent has become an important economic and trade partner of Republic of Turkey.

In the interview he gave to Jeune Afrique, Mr. Olpak states: The continent has become an important economic and trade partner of Republic of Turkey. The private sector companies see in the opportunity to diversify their activities in a market that continues to have good prospects, despite the effects of the Covid pandemic as well as an easier route to European and American markets.

Turkish companies are investing, creating jobs, expanding their activities on the continent in many  sectors: textiles and construction, of course, but also agriculture, energy, and, more recently, health and tourism.
