OFFSET OF TAXES BECAME MORE FLEXIBLE

As per information from the Federal Tax Service of Russia on its official website of 12.01.2022 from January 1, 2022, it became possible to offset the amount of overpaid tax against upcoming payments or repayment of arrears not only for taxes, but also for social security contributions and fees, including penalties and fines.

Previously taxes could only be offset against taxes, and social security contributions - against contributions to be paid to the fund where the overpayment was formed.

This novelty was introduced by the Federal Law No. 379-FZ of 29.11.2021.
