STATE AGENCY OF MOTOR ROADS OF UKRAINE PLANS TO REPAIR 345 KILOMETERS OF ROADS IN KHMELNYTSKY REGION

In 2020, the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine ("Ukravtodor") plans to upgrade 208.8 kilometers of state roads and 137 km of local roads in Khmelnytsky region. A total of 345 kilometers of public roads are planned to be repaired in 2020.  
This was announced by the head of "Ukravtodor" Alexander Kubrak during the inspection of "Large Construction" in Khmelnitsky region.
This year a 40-kilometer section of the R-48 road, which will connect the city of Sataniv with the M-12 highway, will be repaired. Also this year, 40 kilometers of the H-03 Zhytomyr-Chernivtsi highway will be repaired. The total length of the road within the region is 198.3 km. In 2021 it is planned to complete the repair of the road along the entire route. In addition, the construction of the final section of the bypass of the city of Dunaivtsi, 3.1 km long, with the creation of two ring roads.
 
This week, MPs will vote on two important bills on which road funding depends in full. These are bills №3509 and №3510. The first will allow the state to direct funds from the COVID-19 special fund to roads, provided they are not used for other measures to combat the pandemic. The second will provide additional funding for local roads under local guarantees.
