The Dutch Competition Authority (“ACM”) has approved the acquisition of Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi A.Ş and its Dutch subsidiary Yapi Kredi Bank Nederland N.V. by Koç Holding A.S. in accordance with the permission request made by the companies.
Koç Holding A.Ş. is the holding company of the Koç Group. The Koç Group is active in various sectors especially energy and automotive sector, sustainable consumer goods and the financial sector. On the other hand, Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi A.Ş. is mainly active in the banking and finance sector. As for Yapı Kredi Bank Nederland N.V. provides a wide range of banking services to corporate, commercial and retail customers including retail and commercial banking, corporate and private banking and related banking services.
As a result of ACM’s investigation of this concentration process, the Authority concluded that there is no reason to consider that the proposed concentration could significantly lessening of competition on the Dutch market or a part thereof. Hence, ACM has approved the acquisition of Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi A.Ş and its Dutch subsidiary Yapi Kredi Bank Nederland N.V. by Koç Holding A.S.
