OCW wants to encourage universities of applied sciences and universities to improve the quality of education with online teaching methods and to share, re-use and improve high-quality collections of open learning materials. With the incentive scheme for Open and Online Higher Education, OCW has made annual resources available for higher education institutions since 2015. This is done together with SURF, the ICT cooperation organization for education and research in the Netherlands. In total, OCW is making € 1.4 million available for this round.
As of 28 May 2020, the new round for the incentive scheme for Open and Online Higher Education will be opened at SURF and applicants can apply.
