On July 21, the sitting of the parliament adopted the Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Concerning the Improvement of Conditions for Supporting the Production of Electricity from Alternative Energy Sources” (Bill № 3658).
The new law provides for a reduction of "green" tariffs for SPP by 15%, for WPP - by 7.5%.
In addition, according to the adopted law, the Cabinet of Ministers will provide in the state budget the support of a guaranteed buyer in the ammount of at least 20% of the projected production of electricity from alternative sources for the relevant year.
The new law was adopted to fulfill the conditions of the memorandum signed with investors on tariff reduction and debt restructuring of the Guaranteed Buyer.
